Our Capital Markets Group comprises over 20 lawyers (including 7 partners) based across all our offices. The Group provides UK and international companies with transactional and advisory services relating to the London Stock Exchange's Main Market, Professional Securities Market (PSM) and AIM, PLUS markets and overseas stock exchanges, such as the Australian Stock Exchange (ASX) and the Toronto Stock Exchange (TSX).

We advise a mix of issuer and adviser clients on:

Flotations, initial public offerings and introductions
Secondary fund raisings such as placings, rights issues and open offers
Reverse takeovers and other acquisitions and disposals
Related party and class transactions
Takeover offers
Schemes of arrangement
Share capital reductions
Corporate governance and directors' duties
General corporate and regulatory matters for publicly traded companies

We have one of the largest retained publicly quoted client bases of any law firm in the UK and are currently ranked in the top 20 by number of clients. Our clients range from AIM companies through FTSE fledging/small cap companies (top 10 by number of UK clients) to FTSE 250 companies (top 20 by number of UK clients) with market capitalisations of up to £1.5 billion.

Our main market clients include Aberdeen Asset Management plc, Optos plc, The Restaurant Group plc, Robert Wiseman Dairies plc, Stagecoach Group plc and The Weir Group plc, while our AIM clients include AdEPT Telecom plc, Braveheart Investment Group plc, Cluff Gold plc, Clyde Process Solutions plc, Dhir India Investments plc, Lok'n Store plc, Tristel plc and Woburn Energy plc.

We also regularly act for nominated advisers on AIM transactions. Recent adviser clients have included Ambrian Partners, Canaccord Adams, Charles Stanley Securities, Evolution Securities, KBC Peel Hunt, Mirabaud Securities, Noble & Company, Oriel Securities and Smith & Williamson.
